Innovative system for recovery and valorization of phosphorus and/or ammoniacal nitrogen from anaerobic digestion effluent, to complement future anaerobic digestion plant and wastewater treatment plant
Innovative treatment for the liquid fraction of the digestate after phase separation (effluentliquid), in order to comply with treatment requirements in WWTP, as well as recover nutrients (phosphorus and nitrogen) in a marketable product.
This Prior Information Notice (PIN) communicates the opening of a Consultation process Preliminary to the Market (OMC, Open Market Consu19981d172c851bd4e8a1788d5726c2d3ltation) and provides information about the objective for a potential future public procurement procedure. The PIN is not a purchase commitment.
The objective of the future public tender is twofold: construction of an anaerobic digestion unit (with an annual capacity of 60,000 tons of wastefood waste) complemented by a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) capable of recovering the nutrients present in the liquid digestate, namely phosphorus and ammonia nitrogen, to produce one or more marketable products and treat wastewater, meeting the criteria ofcharge and applicable legislation. There are similar anaerobic digestion plants that have a WWTP to treat the effluent. However, the aforementioned WWTP removes, but does not recover, ammoniacal nitrogen and phosphorus.
